i have to admit i’m not really a fan myself. i love the aesthetic but my god – i just hate musicals!

so when i said i’d do a canvas based on the mayor’s character it was quite a challenge..

however, i think i nailed him personality pretty well (although maybe a bit too creepy?!). was interesting painting it, deliberately keeping a warm and cold palette separate for the two alter-egos. plus the composition is so much fun cos it can be hung any way up and it still works.
