about this painting…

if we reverse engineer the ideas that, ‘Man is both descended from apes’ AND that ‘Man is made in God’s image’ – then i postulate that this is what the Creator may have looked like..

this scenario depicted in this painting is the moment when the Creator sacrifices his only Son – so that We may live. as the child’s heart explodes there is a big bang, whereupon all the love and star-stuff contained within erupts to spawn the universe. the end!
